MEET OUR VETS
DR JAMES VOWLES
B.Sc, B.V.M.S., CMAVA
Owner / Veterinarian
I graduated from Murdoch University in 1997 and started my career at Murray Bridge Veterinary Clinic.
In 2000 I left the clinic and enjoyed a 12 month working holiday travelling through the Middle East, United Kingdom and Europe. Enjoying the lifestyle and opportunities Murray Bridge had to offer, I rejoined the practice and became a partner in 2001. My particular interests are equine medicine and surgery and small animal orthopaedic surgery.
DR KATHRYN INGRAM
B.V.Sc (hons), Bachelor of Rural Science
I grew up in Dubbo in Western NSW and when I finished school I moved to Armidale NSW where I went to uni and graduated with a Bachelor of Rural Science. I did my veterinary training at Sydney University and graduated in December 2008. I then started work at Murray Bridge Vet Clinic also in December 2008.
DR TRISTAN MARKS
As a kid I lived in Port Macquire (NSW), Salt Creek (Coorong) and sunny Robe (South East SA), where I enjoyed the beaches, bodyboarding, fishing and diving. In 2000 circumstances shifted to the polar opposite when my family moved to China, where I enjoyed -30 degree temperatures, giant cities and air pollution, along with incredible food, people, lifestyle and experiences.
DR MOLLY ASHBY
B.V.Sc BVet Bio
I grew up in the Adelaide Hills on a hobby farm surrounded by a range of animals. After finishing school, I moved to Wagga Wagga (NSW) where I studied Bachelor of Veterinary Science/Bachelor of Veterinary Biology at Charles Sturt University. I had a fantastic time at university with highlights of traveling to Thailand and Fiji to provide care and perform surgery on community dogs.
DR TOBI LEAREY
I grew up on the southern coast of Adelaide with a strong connection to the great outdoors and a love for all animals, great and small. I discovered a passion for riding horses at a young age and have always had plenty of dogs at home.
My interest in working with production and large animals grew during my placements at Uni that took me all over the world; from stations on the Strzelecki Track, Australia to buffalo in Thailand and India to giraffe, rhino and wildebeest in South Africa! Veterinary work has let me combine my love for science and medicine with my love for animals. I have a special interest in surgery, behaviour and radiology.
DR JORDAN WAINWRIGHT
I was born in the UK and moved to Australia when I was 7. I grew up on the Fleurieu Peninsula and have been horse riding from a young age. I graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2020 where I developed an interest in large animal production work and small animal surgery. I’ve had two off the track thoroughbreds named Riley and Bounce as well as a small flock of sheep and two alpacas, Timmy and Jimmy.
In my spare time I still continue to horse ride as well as hiking, camping and fishing.
I’m excited to be apart of the team here at Murray Bridge Vet clinic as well as having the opportunity to help you take care of all of your pets whether they be big or small.
DR DANNIE NG
I grew up in Hong Kong, the land of delicious food. After high school, I moved to Adelaide where I did my veterinary studies and met beautiful people. At Uni, I enjoyed working with different animals, both large and small; some of which I have never seen in real life before. Veterinary Science has opened a whole new world for me. Shortly after I have graduated, I began my career at the Murray Bridge Veterinary Clinic.
I have a friendly cat named Piklet. She is very curious, confident and loves exploring everywhere. Given her outgoing nature, I sometimes bring her out for little adventures around the neighbourhood in her designated cat harness.
